That is nothing new. Neither of my children has ever liked to nap. Ever. Both are particular about exactly the right atmosphere for snoozing. Should any little factor go awry, all bets are off.
But now the rebellion has really begun. Moose has not napped in a week. He simply sits in his crib and screeches Moose-isms or giggles at himself or shakes the side of the crib.
Big Mack? He just cries until I pick him up. And when he does nap, it is only in his swing.

You would think that Mack T would then sleep well at night after days of utter exhaustion without repose.
You would think...however, you would be wrong.
(sigh)
I miss naptime. Well...you know...sleeptime in general.

7 Lovin's:
I recently put my swing away because my little one would ONLY nap in her swing..and then not sleep that well at night. There were a few long crying sessions during scheduled "naptimes" until she got used to..this is your bed and this is where you sleep. Good luck mama!
Oh dear that last picture is hilarious!!! How comfortable LOL Sorry they do not like naps :-(
naps are hit or miss over here, too. We will go an entire week with no naps, then he'll start napping again for a while. It's random. And VERY frustrating.
Wow. I'm so sorry for your loss (of sleep)... we've had a few days of a missed nap here & there, but not consistently (yet! *knocking on wood*) and those were rough days - I can only imagine your fatigue! Sending lots of luck, love, hugs & sleeping dust!
Lots of hugs.
aw mama I hope those boys start napping better soon!!! Thinking of you.. I hope you find something that works! :)
I check out your blog once in a while, and always enjoy! My boys are similar ages to yours. It's so hard when sleep doesn't happen! Have you ever read "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child"? It changed our lives. My older son (3 in Feb.) is still napping, and sleeping 11 hours straight at night. Anyways, it talks about how accumulated sleep loss results in... more sleep loss. The whole "sleep begets sleep" idea. Anyways, I'm sure you aren't actually looking for advice, so I hope I do not offend with my giving of it. And of course, you can take or leave it! :) But it might help get some sleeping back in your home! Best of luck, whatever happens!
