my experience with brooke van gory designs.

Can I just start by saying that I love how work-at-home moms have taken the initiative in creating bold baby items that you just can't find in retail stores? I can't tell you how many times I have sighed and wondered where I can find a fashionable, functional and affordable diaper bag or cute longies for Moose.

Brooke, owner of Brooke van Gory Designs, has done just that! She has created a line of adorable custom longies, matching embellished tees, wet bags and diaper bags for moms who want something fabulous and out-of-the-ordinary for their little one (or themselves). You can even get a matching wet bag and diaper bag set! Here is just one of the many items in her etsy shop that I drool over on a regular basis:

I don't even remember how the twitter conversation began between us, but one night we found ourselves stalking fabric stores for "worthy" fleece in a Moose pattern. I think it was the challenge of actually finding moose fleece that we deemed cute enough for my little man that kept us searching. It is easier said than done, that I can assure you. Finally we stumbled upon some that was just too cute for words, and Brooke very kindly offered to whip me up a custom set of longies for review!

Now is where things get embarassing. I send off my measurements to Brooke without a second thought. As it turns out I am not very good with measuring tape: I had sent her measurements much too large for Moose. When they arrived I told her of my error and sent her some pictures. We laughed over his parachute pants (not pictured here), and then she surprised me by offering to redo them. Even though it was totally and completely my error, she sent me a whole new set of longies that fit Moose perfectly! Now, I do not it any way, shape, or form recommend not double-checking your measurements before ordering (ummm...its really embarassing!). I just had to share the amazing customer service that Brooke offers because I think that is as important as the product itself.

I absolutely adore Moose's new longies. They work so well with a fitted diaper. I have had zero leaks, even during naptime. Not only that, but the seams are very strong and I'm not afraid of it ripping every time I put it on like some other longies I have tried. These really are some RAD pants! She is one very talented mama. In fact, I am currently saving up for one of her drool-worthy diaper bags right now. The free diaper bag I got from the hospital just won't cut it with two in diapers!

So mosey on over to Brooke van Gory and check out her longies, sets, wet bags and diaper bags. You won't find this stuff in any retail store! If you buy, tell her I sent you.

He looks so adorable!! That is so cool - I mean rad - how you and Brooke connected that way. I am glad I am not the only mom drooling over (and saving for) one of her diaper bags!

I have a really dumb question... why are they called "longies" and not just... well... pants?
