Portrait of a One Year Old

Moose at this age:

• Waves at everything
• Dances by bending his knees, bobbing his head, and waving his hands to almost any music he hears
• Crawls like a beast
• Sits on Papa's shoulders
• Takes socks out of Mama and Papa's sock drawer and puts them in Mama's unmentionables drawer
• Bites instead of kisses
• Has seven teeth
• Eats three meals a day of solid food, nurses twice per day and has an occasional snack
• Loves food: from cheerios to steak
• Strongly dislikes eggs...we are working on that
• Naps twice per day. Sometimes his naps are two hours. Sometimes they are a half hour.
• Speaks his own language OTHER than Dadadada.
• Cruises and walks with little assistance. Only ONE step unassisted. That's not really "walking"
• Puts his hand on his head when you ask "Where's Moose?"
• Sings himself to sleep
• Says Dada, Dog and Nana instead of Mama.
• Laughs at everything I do.
