Who knew curtains could be so complicated?
Two years. Two years I have been searching for curtains for our bedroom. I have wasted countless hours and more money than I care to admit in my endeavours. I am returning my FIFTH set today. I wouldn't say I'm picky either. I've tried pretty gold curtains with valances that didn't work because our walls are a light gold and it was overkill. I've tried gorgeous damask black and gold curtains that looked stunning but had no pair, so they ended up in Moose's room since there is only one window. I tried blackout curtains that looked and felt cheap once hung, elegant sheer curtains that were discontinued before I could buy the matching set, and now silk curtains that looked prettier hung in the store than on my windows. Ayayay.
This has resulted in three sets of curtains I cannot return and bare blinds in my bedroom.
Who would have ever thought curtains would be my interior decorating Achille's Heel?

I've been thinking about doing some curtain shopping too. If our house doesn't sell, then I will have to buy some curtains for sure this summer! Curtain rods too! Let me know where you end up finding some good ones!
